Fourth Trimester Planning Session

Your baby has a birth plan. What about your recovery?

A nurse-led planning session to help you prepare for the physical, emotional and practical realities of life after birth.

Plan ahead. Feel prepared. Know where to turn.

The Fourth Trimester Can Feel Overwhelming

After birth, you're recovering while learning how to care for a newborn.

You may be navigating:

  • Physical recovery

  • Feeding

  • Sleep

  • Emotional wellbeing

  • Pelvic health

  • Your support network

  • Knowing when to seek help

Most preparation focuses on birth. NŪMA & Co.’s aim is to help you prepare for what comes next.

What is the Session?

A personalised consultation with a Registered Nurse and Health Visitor, helping you think beyond your birth plan and prepare for recovery.

Together, we'll explore your circumstances, support network and potential areas where you may need additional support.

You'll leave with a clearer understanding of what to prepare, who can support you and where to turn when you need help.

What we’ll Cover:

Preparing for recovery after vaginal or caesarean birth and identifying when additional support may be appropriate.

Explore your feeding preferences and identify reliable sources of support.

Prepare for the transition into parenthood and identify your support network. Plan for rest, meals, your home and practical support.

Identify the right professional for your needs and access trusted specialists through the NŪMA network.

‍ ‍

Who is it for?

For expectant parents who want to feel prepared, informed and supported.

Particularly helpful if you're:

  • Expecting your first baby

  • Planning a caesarean

  • Expecting twins or multiples

  • Concerned about postpartum recovery

  • Living with limited support

  • Simply unsure what to expect

We believe postpartum care should be proactive, personalised and connected.

NŪMA & Co. complements NHS maternity and health visiting services by helping families prepare and navigate appropriate support.

You don't need to know exactly what you need. That's what the session is for.

  • “Rest is not lazy. Rest is medicine for a body that just did the impossible.”

  • “Be patient with the woman in the mirror. She is doing something extraordinary, slowly.”

  • “A mother was born too.”
